Closed 2 MOO | Eyes Wide Shut 2012

...the salutogenetic approach

In April - short before Easter -  I was pretty lucky to get  Bamboo Mixed Media artist paper 265 gsm as give away from Hahnemühle FINEART! This worthful paper ist made from 90% bamboo fibre and 10% rag; especially suitable for watercolour, acrylic, pastel, sketch and mixed media.

I wanted to create a very special serie, something new and a bit spectacular in my artistic spectrum and it worked - hooray :)

I´m full of joy about the cycle "Closed 2 MOO | Eyes Wide Shut 2012" - a serie of 20 works that impresses in the truest sense of the word through the untouchability and the invisible element of existential vulgarity. I took my prefered acrylics  Van Gogh | Royal Talens and as nearly always the paintings appeared. For giving them the naive expressin of vulgarity, I took pigment liners to let the figures become alive.

The symbiosis between this fantastic artist paper, the brilliant acrylics and pigment liner invites the viewer  to experience the untouchability and a sensual, shifting and dislocated vulgarity. Initially, the viewer’s perspective is located above a sublime spatial field. As the color ripples and swirls at ever increasing speed the viewer becomes disoriented and the projected image disintegrates. "Closed 2 MOO | Eyes Wide Shut 2012" continues an investigation into an ever-evolving desire for immersion using the symbiosis as performer and as a performative space.
